Something that made us laugh. There are real people called Jane Eyre! And as if that wasn't enough, this is their profession:
Special guest will be Jane Eyre, the 2005 Veterans World Champion in Women's Saber, who will speak on becoming an adult fencer.
We do not know whether Jane Eyre will be her real name but regardless of that it creates a very hilarious image. Perhaps Charlotte Brontë should have included a Jane vs Bertha duel in the book :P

And another TV alert that can also be seen on our sidebar. The Stage recommends you watch Wide Sargasso Sea in case you haven't yet.
For a more sedate drama experience, following last week’s farewell to Jane Eyre, The Wild Sargasso Sea (Sunday 9pm, BBC1) turns back the clock to provide a prequel in this adaptation of Jean Rhys’s novel. Rochester (Rafe Spall) is living in Jamaica, where he falls in love with Antoinette, who becomes the first Mrs Rochester. As passionate as you’d imagine, this is a tidy piece of work with a talented cast.
More sedate? We don't think so! But the title of the column is 'Square Eyes' which is very fitting for Brontëites in the UK since later today they can also watch The Tenant of Wildfell Hall.

If you liked the title of the post, you will also be fascinated by the description of the new project of writer Megan Frampton (if you click there you can win a 10th Anniversary Limited Edition Pride & Prejudice Collector's Set), posted on Risky Regencies:
This week, I sent a proposal for a Regency-set historical to my agent. This book is about an opium-addicted Marquess who meets the illegitimate daughter of a vicar. They get married in a Marriage of Convenience, and spend a bunch of time traveling from the Scottish border to London.

So I titled it

Road To Passion (although its high-concept log-line is Leaving Las Vegas meets Jane Eyre).
