We present two websites today with a Brontë-twist:

We read on Lifehacker, the existence of DailyLit, a website where you can read novels by e-mail:
# Why read books by email?

Because if you are like us, you spend hours each day reading email but don't find the time to read books. DailyLit brings books right into your inbox in convenient small messages that take less than 5 minutes to read. This works incredibly well not just on your computer but also on a Treo, Blackberry, Sidekick or whatever the PDA of your choice. In the words of Dr. Seuss: Try it, you might like it!

# How long does it take to read a book?

That depends on three factors. First, on how many parts are in the book (shown when you browse for books). Second, on how frequently you choose to receive emails. Third, on how often you read more than one part (by using the "send me the next part immediately" feature).
  • Brontë, Anne * Agnes Grey [82 parts]
  • Brontë, Charlotte * Jane Eyre [231 parts] * Villette [241 parts]
  • Brontë, Emily * Wuthering Heights [145 parts]
The other website is Pointed Lace, a blog dedicated to the discussion of Women in Literature. Of course, the Brontës' works are widely discussed. Not a surprise because the web owner is Mysticgypsy, one of the most prolific Brontë-bloggers around.
Mysticgypsy, the author of Pointed Lace, is an aspiring Victorianist. Her interests include the Brontës, A.S.Byatt, Romanticism and Children's Literature.
