The Yorkshire Post reminds us that tomorrow will take place a new edition - the third already! - of the Bare Your Bra Walk on the Haworth moors. If you're in the area and want great landscapes, a great cause and - we are sure - great company, then don't hesitate:

Bare your Bra Sponsored walk for Breast Cancer Research on Wednesday 26th July 2006. This year the walk is in the first week of the school holidays so that whole families can be involved. All are welcome.
Fitness First are sponsoring the walk by offering anyone taking part a free pass to the gym up until 26th July and they have also donated 100 water bottles to give out. You can also pick up a sponsor form them as well as at Oh La La.
Meeting at 10:00am and expect to return at approximately 2:00pm
Meeting point is car park on Weavers Hill Haworth (not the top of the car park as last year)
Walking from the car park to Penistone Hill and across the moor to Bronte Waterfalls and rest and lunch.
Return to Haworth via Stanbury village and visit a local pub for a drink and a break.
Total distance about 5 miles
Bring packed lunch and suitable clothing and footwear. Children and dogs welcome, pets must be kept on a lead.
Walkers can bare their bra in any way they wish, from the brave to the ridiculous! If you want further information you can contact Pam Howorth from Oh La La! Lingerie Main St: Tel (01535) 640640
[...]
To date almost £7500 has been raised in aid of Breast Cancer Research Action Group, a charity based at Leeds General Infirmary funding research into breast cancer and offers support to patients.

If you still need some more encouragement or can't attend but are curious about it, you can see pictures from 2004 here.

What we find sort of funny is to imagine the Brontës' faces if in one of their walks on the moors somehow time and space came together and they came across a bunch of women (and some men!) wearing just their bra or wearing it over their clothes. But it's for such a good cause that though shyly we are sure they would join in the walk - not so sure about them joining in in the bra-baring though.

EDIT: See some very funny pictures here.
