From today, May 18 and until Saturday 20, the Wild Shows & Feasts company presents Jane Eyre Uncovered at the Buxton Opera House.

Jane Eyre Uncovered By Isabella Kilty A hilarious satire of Charlotte Bronte’s Jane Eyre which uncovers Jane as a social-climbing minx and Rochester as a self-deluded blockhead. Following their Best Drama nomination in the Buxton Festival Fringe Awards (for another production), Wild Shows & Feasts make their debut Fringe Season appearance.

Performances: May 18, 19 and 20. 19:30 PM

If someone out there knows something more about this show, please enlighten us. Curiously enough, three days later the touring Wuthering Heights Ian Dickens Production arrives at the same venue.

If Jane Eyre gets uncovered in this play... Charlotte Brontë gets unmasked in this documentary that can be seen today in BBC Prime.

Charlotte Brontë Unmasked(Documentary)
Time - 01:00 to 02:00 (1 hour long).When - Thursday 18th May on BBC Prime

A film about the men and women who have devoted their lives and souls to Brontë worship, and what happens when a newly discovered photograph - allegedly of Charlotte Brontë - threatens the whole fragile edifice of romantic fantasy. This film is both a comedy about the cult of Charlotte Brontë and a more serious look at the making of a literary icon.

The documentary was first broadcasted in 1994 and was directed by Daisy Goodwin
In the week of the 140th anniversary of Charlotte BRONTË's death, Audrey HALL goes in search of the real woman behind the mask, with biographers Dr Juliet Barker & Dr Lyndall Gordon.
