3.- In The Eureka Reporter we can read about this other JE-The musical production in California:

“Her spring of life draws me near,” sings Rochester in the musical drama of Charlotte Bronte’s novel, “Jane Eyre,” which will be presented by Humboldt Light Opera Co. in association with College of the Redwoods beginning Friday at the CR Forum Theatre.

“A musical retelling of Charlotte Bronte’s ‘Jane Eyre’ may sound a bit strange to people, who know the novel or the movie, but as it turns out it is a perfect background for a whole host of powerful songs and ensemble pieces that enhance the classic love story,” HLOC Production Director Carol Ryder said in a news release.

The cast is led by Laura Hathaway as Jane Eyre and Kevin Richards as Rochester. Young Jane is played by Kate Crabill (the three appear in the picture, Submitted photo/HLOC). The role of Blanche is performed by Fiona Ryder. Also in the cast are Bonnie Cyr, Ellsworth Pence, Meadow Bell, Gene Lodes, Brandy Larsen, Carli McFarland and Shaelyn Salas. Annette Hull provides live musical accompaniment.

Location: College of Redwoods, 883 West Washington Blvd, Crescent City, Ca 95531

Performances
Fridays and Saturdays, April 28-May 13, at 7:30 p.m. and on Sundays, May 7 and 14, at 2 p.m.
