Title: WUTHERING HEIGHTS. DIR, Patrick Diamond. Contract: Equity Showcase Code, pending. Rehearsal Dates: Begins May 17, 2006. Performance Dates: June 15-July 2, 2006 (at Theater Five). Breakdown-- Cathy: Early 20s, pretty, feisty, snippy, strong-willed, sings 12 songs, soprano, Bb-high Ab; Heathcliff: Mid 20s, handsome, strong, sings six songs, tenor/high baritone, Bb-high G; Nellie: Mid 30s, peasant, wise, experienced, sings five songs, mezzo, Bb-high F; Edgar: Refined, a gentleman, sings three songs, high baritone-tenor; Isabella: Late 20s, Edgar’s sister, refined, sings two ballads and one major dramatic soliloquy, soprano, C-high strong! Ab; Father: Mid 50s, kindly, with a warm social conscience, baritone, must have strong high F; Hindley: Will age from 14-40, weakling, drunk, pitiful, sings two songs, high baritone, C-E; Mr. Linton: 40s, a gentleman landowner, sings one song, range: F-Eb; Mrs. Linton: 40s, genteel, snobbish, sings one song, range: F-Eb; Robert: 40s, rich man’s servant; Young Cathy: 10, sings one song, range A-G; Young Heathcliff: 12, looks like an unkempt ragamuffin, nonsinging; Joseph: Late 60s, servant, doddering. The production seems to be a revival of the Wuthering Heights. A romantic musical. Adaptation, Music and Lyrics by Paul Dick that was premiered in the Mint Theater (that now is the Five Theater) in 1999. A review of that production can be found here.

    The unforgettable image of a woman's ghost clawing at the window of a lonely farmhouse chills the spine once more in Paul Dick's newest production, Wuthering Heights: A Romantic Musical, adapted from Emily Bronte's classic novel. It is a story of undying love, even beyond the grave. This moving, heart breaking, dramatic story is set to a soaring, beautifully romantic score.

    Wuthering Heights: A Romantic Musical is directed by Patrick Diamond, with music direction by Charity Wicks. Set Design is by Lee Savage, Costume Design by Sandra Goldmark and Lighting Design by Stephen Sakowski . Audrey Marshall will serve as Production Stage Manager. Featured in the cast are young talented newcomers: Dominic Inferrera as Heathcliff and Kimberly Burns as Cathy. Also in the cast are: Ray Arrucci, Dennis Holland, Sarah Hund, Richard Koons, Eric Monson, Niki Naeve, Danny Rothman, and Alexandra De Suze.

    Wuthering Heights: A Romantic Musical will run for three weeks (16 performances), June 16 through July 2, 2006 with performances on Wednesdays through Saturdays at 8 PM with matinees on Saturdays at 2PM and Sundays at 3PM at Theatre Five (Old Mint Theatre) at 311 West 43rd Street.
