These weeks we have seen several editions of Brontë-related material in non-English languages that now we would like to summarize:

An Italian edition of Gaskell's biography of Charlotte was published last January. The book is published by La Tartaruga Edizioni. The translator's is Simone Buffa di Castelferro. A review of the book (in Italian) can be found here.

In Spain we report the publication of the book Una breve historia de la misoginia (A brief history of misogyny) written by Anna Caballé (Lumen). The works by the Brontë sisters are discussed in relation to their critical reception. A review can be found here.

In Germany we have found this audiobook edition of Jane Eyre (in German, of course) read by Sophie Rois. The seven CDs are published by Eichborn. A sample can be found here.

Finally, a future edition. In France the brand new editorial house Anabet announces the appearance of French translations of Brontë juvenilia (by Charlotte, Emily, Anne and Branwell). The name of this book (that will appear in April) is Le monde du dessous (The world below), quoting Charlotte Brontë. These are interesting news, because the only translations that we knew of Brontë juvenilia were in Italian: All'Hotel Stancliffe e altri racconti giovanili translated by Maddalena De Leo.

EDIT: There exists, at least, a 1972 French translation of Juvenilia by Raymond Bellour:
BRONTË (Charlote et Patrick Branwell) — [Œuvres d'enfance et d'adolescence.] Paris, Pauvert, 1972.
