We have come across
this article (that appears in several newspapers today) about the impact, trajectory and the evolution of the identity of
the blonde girl.According to the author, Bo Emerson:
"(...) the identity of the blonde has gone through many twists and turns. She was the paragon of feminine virtue and beauty until the latter half of the 19th century, when a radical shift began, propelled by Jane Austen, Charlotte Brontë and their female colleagues, according to Ellen Tremper, author of "I'm No Angel: The Blonde in Fiction and Film."The book in question was presented on this blog some weeks ago.
