The Indian director Raman Kumar, quite famous in India, expresses his love for Wuthering Heights in this interview on Indiantelevision.com:

My favourite books
Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë is my all-time favourite book. The character Heathcliff has stayed with me forever. I would say, it's not just a pretty love story but a tale of madness and revenge. I would love to make a film based on it one day.
