The Polly Teale's Jane Eyre theatrical adaptation is not only touring again in the UK, some other productions emerge from time to time. As this one that opens today at the Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa.

The Dordt College Theatre Department will present the stage adaptation of Charlotte Brontë’s classic novel, Jane Eyre, at the TePaske Theatre in Sioux Center Feb. 23-March 4. (...)

Justine Moelker (Chatham, Ontario) plays the title role of Jane Eyre, while Laurel Koerner (Sioux Center) plays the role of Bertha. Marcus Roskamp (Edgerton, Minn.) plays duo roles of Edward Rochester and John Reed. Other student performers are Andrea De Jong (Sioux Center), Amy Blok (Lynden, Wash.), Jonathon Shaffstall (West Milford, N.J.), Andrea LeMahieu (Frankfort, Ill.), and Paul Krygsman (Sioux Center).

Director Teresa Ter Haar said several actors in the production play more than one character by subtle costuming changes or voice alterations. She recommends children attending be of middle-school age or older to grasp the plot and staging.
