OpusHabana publishes an interview with the Cuban poet Pablo Armando Fernández, in which he remembers how influential was Emily Brontë's Wuthering Heights in his decision of becoming a writer.

"I didn't choose to be a poet. Sometimes I've said that I was chosen by poetry, and it's not a lie. I was already a writer when I became a poet. I've told that I became a writer listening to a radio adaptation of Emily Brontë's Wuthering Heights. Those voices on the Cuban radio changed my life completely. From then on I was another person, and that defined my destiny: I was going to be a writer and I didn't want to do anything else in life".

Pablo Armando Fernández is a controversial figure due to his relation with Castro's regime.
