This November an audio-version of "Villette" is scheduled to appear in the United States published by Ulverscroft Large Print and narrated by Karen Cass. This audiobook was released in the United Kingdom last September published by Isis Audio Books.
The audiobook appears in two versions. A
CD box-set with 17 Compact Discs and a duration of 19hrs 47mins and and another one composed by 15
audio cassettes.
According to the publishers, the audiobook is published to coincide with the 150th anniversary of Charlotte Brontë's death.
Karen Cass began her acting career with the Footlights as an undergraduate at Cambridge. After graduating she completed three years acting training at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art where she was awarded the Evelyn Laye Prize for Best Actress in a musical and was chosen to represent LAMDA in the William Poel Festival at the Royal National Theatre. Karen made her professional debut at the Newcastle Playhouse and has since worked extensively in theatre all over the country.
