A new edition of the the Juliet Barker's monumental biography "The Brontës" is coming to the U.S. bookstores next October, 25 (according to
amazon). The new edition (or reprint, we don't know exactly) is published now by
Overlook Press (but on its web they give late summer as the release date). Recently Overlook Press has published in the U.S. the paperback editions of Barkers' "The Brontës. A life in Letters".
The first US edition of this book was issued in 1995 by St. Martis Pr. in a hardback edition. Later, in November 1996, the paperback edition was released by the same editors. On the other hand, Weidenfeld and Nicholson, the British editors, have been reissuing different editions since the first one in 1994. Without trying to be exhaustive, we remember paperback editions in 1995, 1997 and 2001.
