No, we have not lost our minds at BrontëBlog, at least not completely. We are talking about an Emily Brontë that was born on February 23... year 2003. She is the lovely daughter of Machiavellian and Zafadola and is a beautiful grey horse. Last 18 October she was the winner of the Prix de Réservoirs, a classic one-mile race reserved to 2-year old horses, that takes place in Deauville, France. You can find complete information on the race here (in French, you can use Babelfish... erm... imaginative translation).

By the way, if you check the pedigree of our new Emily (we think that our old Emily would love this new reincarnation, don't you think?), you can find that her grand-grandfather was called Shirley Heights... coincidence?
