To mark Anne’s 206th birthday, this talk will examine both the life of Anne herself and her most prominent fictional characters through the lens of self-development, a popular modern concept.
We'll be diving into the essentials of contemporary personal development, including intellectual, emotional, social and spiritual growth. These are typically depicted as a journey through life, meeting its challenges and building resilience. This was Anne’s own lived experience, and one she examined through characters in Agnes Grey and The Tenant of Wildfell Hall. This talk will be delivered by the Museum's Learning Coordinator, Andrew [Stodolny].
