Celebrate the timeless connection between Kate Bush and Emily Brontë on their shared birthday with a Mass Wuther like no other, right in the heart of the actual landscape that inspired Wuthering Heights! Join fellow enthusiasts of all ages and genders as we ‘roll and fall in green’ by dancing along to Kate Bush’s infamous song inspired by Emily Brontë’s novel in the very setting that shaped Brontë’s masterpiece. All you need is a flowing red dress and a Kate Bush wig to take part in this unforgettable dance performance of her 1978 No 1 hit.
The event begins at 11am, in the field by the Old Pavilion on Dimples Lance. It will be MC-ed by the legendary Kate O Donnell, actress, activist and founder of Transcreative. Writer/ broadcaster/ comedian
Kate Fox, will give a live reading from the novel. There will be a series of practice sessions to perfect our iconic dance together in the open fields, and an exclusive performance by
Sarh-Louise Young – the acclaimed artist behind
An Evening Without Kate Bush, who will be joining in with the dancing and bringing Kate Bush’s greatest hits to life!
Following the celebrations on the moors, dancers will head to Parson’s Field at the Brontë Parsonage Museum for a communal picnic. Please bring your own refreshments and join us!
