An alert from the Brontë Parsonage Museum for tomorrow, December 12 (and a perfect excuse to visit the new Brontë Parsonage website):
In-person 2pm Brontë Event Space at the Old School Room
Online 7:30pm £5 On Zoom

Emily Brontë is regarded as the 'sphinx of English literature' and the most enigmatic of the three Brontë sisters. In her lifetime, she was known for her extreme reserve and, according to Charlotte, led an almost reclusive existence. This talk will explore what we know about Emily Brontë and will argue that, from her own writings and especially her poetry, we can learn a great deal more about her than is popularly believed.
This talk will be given by Tamar Yellin, a volunteer tour guide at the Museum and a lifelong student of Emily's life and work.
