Bradford's Undercliffe Cemetery unveiled a new historical trail on June 22nd, offering a unique journey through the city's rich past. The trail, featuring 20 informational boards, showcases Bradford's diverse history from its industrial heritage to modern-day achievements. Of particular interest is the cemetery's connection to the Brontë family: Nancy de Garrs, the Brontës' nanny, is buried here. This literary link was highlighted at the launch by journalist Christa Ackroyd, who is involved in developing the Brontë Birthplace in nearby Thornton. Designed to be family-friendly, the Undercliffe Cemetery Trail now provides an engaging educational experience, offering a concise yet comprehensive view of Bradford's enduring legacy.
