Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë. The novel tracks Heathcliff, as he takes revenge on those who prevented him from seeing his true love, Cathy Earnshaw.
Irish author Liadhan Hynes reveals her favourite books in Ireland Central:
"Wuthering Heights" by Emily Brontë
We studied this for the Leaving Cert, and I loved it so much it made me realize I wanted to study English in college. I still have my copy from that time, covered in underlines and highlighter, and I remember one night staying up really late to read it and the Kate Bush song coming on the radio, and being completely lost in the story. I now realize of course that it is a totally toxic affair, but what an amazing story.
Startefacts lists movies by Ralph Fiennes:
Wuthering Heights
Ralph Fiennes' acting career began in 1987 when he joined the National Theatre. A few years later, Fiennes made his television debut in the show Prime Suspect, and in 1992, he appeared on the big screen in Wuthering Heights, based on the novel by Emily Brontë, playing the role of Heathcliff.
The action of the movie takes place in the dark moors of North Yorkshire. Many years ago, a local landowner, Mr. Earnshaw, the owner of Wuthering Heights, took in a dying gypsy boy, named him Heathcliff, and raised him as his own son. After the owner's death, the relatives turned the foundling into a slave. Heathcliff's only support came from the late Earnshaw's daughter, Catherine. (Zoe Wallace)
La Tercera (Chile) presents some of the new books to be published in Chile this year:
(Pablo Retamal N.) (Translation)
Jornal Opção (Brazil) asks writers and intellectuals about their reads in 2024:
Simone Athayde, writer
(Translation)
Giornale di Puglia (Italy) talks about the novel Nessuno mi vuole e ne vado fiera by Maria Teresa Giaffreda:
(Francesco Greco) (Translation)

Gazeta (Poland) discusses hyperemesis gravidarum and mentions that Charlotte Brontë probably died from that disease. Qué! (Spain) discusses literary pseudonyms and a mention of the Brontës is mandatory. یک پزشک (in Persian) lists Jane Eyre 2011 as a film  "similar" to Little Women 2019.
