This is an online course currently going on:
Wednesday 27 September to Wednesday 1 November, 7pm – 9pm every week
The Brontë Parsonage Museum is excited to be running a new online course with Dr Sam Hirst, a Post-Doctoral Teaching Fellow specialising in the literature and the Gothic.
In this course, we will look at the ways in which the Brontës built on an existing Gothic legacy, incorporated and revitalised Gothic components in their own work, and influenced the development of the Gothic into the 20th and even the 21st centuries. The classes will draw on selected texts and interaction with artefacts from the Brontë Parsonage Museum collection.
The course runs for six weeks, comprising five weekly online classes and a guided book group in the final session.
