Dr Mya-Rose Craig joins us to discuss her wide-ranging work as an environmentalist. In this personal discussion hosted by Helen Meller, we will gain insight into Mya-Rose’s extraordinary achievements in the field of conservation and consider the surpris
ing ways in Mya’s own experience as a ‘birder’ resonate with the Brontë story.
Mya-Rose Craig first became known for her popular blog Birdgirl, which received over 50,000 views in its first year alone. A passionate climate and diversity activist, Mya-Rose founded and continues to lead charity Black2Nature, which campaigns for equal access to nature for all, and has spoken alongside figures such as Greta Thunberg, Caroline Lucas and Billie Eilish.  
Mya-Rose was named Young Conservationist of the Year in 2021 and is the youngest Briton to have been awarded an honorary degree.
Dr Mya-Rose Craig is the author of three books, 'We Have a Dream' (2021), ‘Birdgirl’ (2022) and 'Flight', which was published in June of this year. The paperback of ‘Birdgirl’ will be out later this year.
