The renowned Düsseldorf cultural scientist and author Mithu M. Sanyal will come to the RomaNEum on Thursday, March 2, 2023 for a discussion about the book
"Sturmhöhe" by Emily Bronte. The focus of the conversation is the question of how a novel that is more than 170 years old can provide forward-looking answers to current topics such as gender, race and class. For Sanyal, "
Sturmhöhe" was and is a book in which she rediscovered her own experience of being unfamiliar.
Since her success with the novel "Identitti", which made it onto the shortlist for the German Book Prize, Mithu M. Sanyal has been a sought-after discussion partner.
