An alert for today, July 21, from the Brontë Parsonage Museum:
Thursday Talks
21 July 2022, 14.00 h (Free)
The author of Wuthering Heights also wrote some of the most moving and original poems of the nineteenth century. This talk explores Emily as rebel poet and her rejection of the limits of both social conformity and the orthodox notion of God. As Emily strode across the moors, these poems stride defiantly across the page in pursuit of intellectual and spiritual liberty.
Our Thursday Talks are delivered by our lovely in-house Parsonage staff. This year we will be delivering them in person at the Parsonage, and online for anyone who can't make it to the museum. Details on how to join below.
