It’s good to read something old, like “Pride and Prejudice” or “Wuthering Heights” or “Gulliver’s Travels.” Maybe you read them a long time ago, or maybe you will get the joy of reading them afresh. (Frank Pool)
Jane EyreJane Eyre is originally a certified classic romance novel written by Emily Brontë. In this glorious film adaptation, Wasikowska completely outdoes herself and her acting performance alone makes this entire movie worth a watch. The drama romance follows the abused orphan Jane, played by Wasikowska. After she receives her education and becomes a governess, her relationship with Edward Rochester, the owner of the estate begins to grow into something more. However, after she learns more about him, it is not all sunshine and rainbows. (Alyssa Gawaran)
Emily BrontëOne of the three legendary Brontë sisters, Emily Brontë is known for penning the English literary classic ‘Wuthering Heights.’ Sheltered from a young age, and growing up on an estate in the English countryside, Emily left very little behind for biographers to analyze.‘Wuthering Heights’ was the only novel published by Brontë, and it seems she spent most of the rest of her days walking the grounds of her family’s estate with her beloved dog, named Keeper, and did not develop much of a social life outside of her family.
