Trinity High School Drama Club presents
Jane Eyre
Adapted by Christina Calvit
Trinity Alps Performing Arts Center, Weaverville, CA
February 4, 18.45h
Streamed by Zoom. Details here.
The Trinity Journal gives further information:
Jane Eyre” will be recorded by videographer Dero Forslund in order to enhance the quality. Zoom viewers will be muted by the host. Viewers may choose to turn on their camera, which would benefit the actors as this would provide a sense that there is an actual audience participating in the performance.
This show is 15 months in the making. The production was shut down on March 13, 2020, opening night, at the Trinity Alps Performing Arts Center due to the statewide lockdown that went into place as the result of the COVID-19 pandemic. With hopes of performances in June, September and January at TAPAC, the cast were defeated again and again, as the worldwide pandemic continued.
Through great determination and heroic efforts by the teen actors, they kept the show alive and now, with a paring down of the original cast of 21 to 11, most actors are portraying multiple parts. Jane Eyre’s spirit has endured and flourished.
