Bradford Local Studies Library will be hosting an illustrated talk by Bradford-born bestselling author and scriptwriter, Sharon Wright as part of the International Women’s Day celebrations.
Bradford Local Studies Library based in Margaret McMillan Tower, will be holding the event on Saturday 7 March between 11am and noon.
Visitors will have the opportunity to meet Sharon Wright and to hear about her recent publication, 'Mother of the Brontës: when Maria met Patrick' which tells the previously unknown story of Maria Branwell and her life in Apperley Bridge, Thornton and Haworth.
Councillor Sarah Ferriby, Bradford Council’s executive member for Healthy People and Places, said: "This will be a perfect opportunity to gain a greater insight into the relatively unknown life of Maria Branwell and her years spent in various areas around our District. It’s sure to be interesting to any Bradford resident."
This is a free event and all are welcome to attend.
