And... finally, a birthday party, of course:
A Party for Anne Brontë’s 200th Birthday
Friday, January 17, 2020 at 6 PM
Delius Arts & Cultural Centre
29 Great Horton Road, BD7 1AA City of Bradford

An evening of live music, poetry, and dancing to celebrate the 200th birthday of Bradford-born Anne Brontë, one of the world’s greatest 19th century writers.
South Square Centre and The Brontë Parsonage Museum come together in this unique collaboration at Delius Centre. Come down to be entertained by an exciting lineup of musicians, poets and DJs, and try your hand at zine-making, badge-making and other DIY crafts.
This is a night to throw on your glad-rags, revel in performances, and enjoy amazing food and drink all for Anne Brontë’s birthday.

FEATURING:

• SONIA SANDHU’s vegan pop-up food stand
• Anne Brontë punch
• Glitter Tattoos to show your love for Anne
• Zine Making workshop with ROSIE MCANDREW
• SHARENA LEE SATTI – Poetry from the heart of Bradford
• KIRSTY TAYLOR - Spoken word
• STEPHANIE HLADOWSKI – Acapella folk magic
• PLUS DJ’s Jenny Harris & Maria Spadafora aka BUFFET DISCO

Anne is often thought of as the ‘other Brontë’, less famous than her sisters Charlotte and Emily, but she was a talented novelist, poet, visual artist and musician.  This event is inspired by her creativity and the conviction with which she held her beliefs.
