Charlotte Bronte's famous heroine is married at last to Mr. Rochester. But now that Thornfield has burned to the ground, Jane and her husband must accept an invitation to Ingram Park, home of the contemptuous Blanche Ingram. When Jane finds a stranger in an empty grove - a bullet wound in his chest and a peculiar confession on his lips - she must find out which one of Ingram Park’s residents is willing to risk a man’s life.
