Miss Rockester (aka Silvana Mehnert) is a German singer and composer whose name is a nod to Charlotte Brontë's novel

The music of "Miss Rockester" - a solo project of singer Silvana Mehnert from Dresden and band - is soulful, honest, authentic and invites to dream. She was first on Castle Tree and immediately taken. "I like the atmosphere." Silvana is also still a singer with the a cappella pop band "medlz", which recently celebrated its 20th anniversary.
The name "Miss Rockester" was derived from the novel character from "Jane Eyre" by Charlotte Brontë. "I studied English Literature at undergraduate level and wanted to combine both, music and poetry." (Tanja Langejürgen in Schaumburg-Lippische Landes-Zeitung)
