An alert from the Brontë Parsonage Museum for today, May 16:
Museums at Night: 'Splendid Shreds of Silk and Satin'
The Brontë Quilt unpicked

May 16th 2018 07:30pm - 09:00pm
Brontë Parsonage Museum

It’s Museums at Night time again! Come along after hours for a unique opportunity to view the patchwork quilt worked on by the Brontë sisters and their Aunt Branwell, rarely displayed due to its size and fragility. We will also be joined by members of the Totley Brook Quilters from Sheffield, who produced a replica quilt for Charlotte’s bicentenary in 2016, which they are now kindly donating to the Museum. This special evening will provide an insight into the sisters’ needlework, particularly Emily’s, and the work involved in creating the replica.

This event has sold out online. Please contact the Museum to find out about any remaining ticket availability. Contact bookings@bronte.org.uk / 01535 640192.
