2016 is het Charlotte Brontë Jaar en daar zal veel aandacht aan besteed worden, niet alleen in Groot-Brittannië en de VS, maar ook in Nederland en Vlaanderen. Jolien Janzing is een Nederlandse schrijfster en journaliste, o.a. voor Humo. Ze komt praten over haar boek “De Meester”, over de Engelse schrijfsters Charlotte en Emily Brontë. Charlotte Brontë werd beroemd met haar roman “Jane Eyre”, terwijl haar zus Emily Brontë het onvergetelijke “Wuthering Heights” schreef. Minder bekend is dat Charlotte en Emily school liepen in Brussel om hun Frans te perfectioneren. Charlotte werd hopeloos verliefd op monsieur Heger, haar leraar Franse literatuur. Auteur Jolien Janzing dompelt je helemaal onder in de wereld van de Brontës en het 19de-eeuwse Brussel.
