In Bristol, Publick Transport presents We Are Brontë:
We Are Brontë
A new comic piece of physical theatre and clowning by Publick Transport
19th Jan - 23rd Jan
8pm

We Are Brontë is a piece of comic visual theatre inspired by the real and imaginery worlds of Yorkshire’s literary siblings, presented in Publick Transport’s irreverent style. Physical theatre collides with stand-up, clowning and improvisation as two performers deconstruct not only gothic themes of love, madness, repression and revenge, but also themselves. Part play, part enquiry into the act of putting on a play, this promises to be no ordinary Brontë adaptation.
Whilst Jane Eyre plays Bristol Old Vic, come to The Wardrobe Theatre for Bristol’s alternative Brontë.

Devised and performed by Angus Barr and Sarah Corbett
Directed by Ed Rapley
Dramaturgy by Susie Donkin
Additional performance and movement direction by Brenda Waite
We Are Brontë is supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England. Also supported by PACTS, Tobacco Factory Theatres, The Bike Shed Theatre and Bristol Ferment.
