Charlotte Brontë – Life, Literature and Legacy
Discover the story of Charlotte, the eldest of the literary Brontë siblings. Learn of her life in Haworth, her ambitions and the many obstacles which had to be overcome, on her journey to becoming the world famous author of Jane Eyre.

Looking forward to 2016, Lynne Howell from The Brontë Parsonage Museum (stand C120) considers her legacy at the beginning of a five year programme of bicentennial celebrations aptly named ‘Brontë 200’, commencing with a year dedicated to Charlotte to mark her 200th birthday.
