The Press Association reports the death of Angela Scoular (1945-2011) at the age of 65. She played Cathy in the 1967 adaptation of the novel.
Leslie Phillips' wife Angela Scoular has died at the age of 65.
Angela - an actress who appeared in two Bond films - had been suffering from bowel cancer. [...]
Angela married Carry On star Leslie in 1982. She played Lady Agatha Shawcross in the TV series You Rang, M'Lord? and Cathy in a 1967 production of Wuthering Heights.
We don't really know whether we are more saddened by the news of her death or by that fact that the press release being relayed by many websites carries the headline 'Leslie Phillips' actress wife dies', completely omitting her name in favour of her husband's.

EDIT:  The Times publishes an obituary.
EDIT: The Arts Desk and The Telegraph devote articles to the actress.
EDIT (July 2011):  Her suicide is covered on The Independent or Daily Mail.
