Today, June 20, a recital in London presents a new song inspired by a Charlotte Brontë poem:
London Shakespeare Workout
Out of the Piano - 3rd Tim Williams Award Event

Sunday, June 20, 2010
Time: 6:00pm - 9:00pm
Location: Cochrane Theatre

An evening where 17 vibrant British composers present 24 original songs with lyrics drawn from classical/established texts not originally intended for song.
Lyrics range from the pens of William Shakespeare, Ernest Hemmingway, Christina Rossetti to Jane Austin, Sir Noel Coward, Charlotte Bronte and Leah Goldberg; from Tennessee Williams to three original compositions, two written by British offenders.
We don't know for sure, but we think that the Charlotte Brontë song is Presentiment, with music by Rachel Lyske that will be performed by Helena Blackman.
