Un Libro Tante Scuole: Wuthering Heights in 2024

The National Student Reading Project (Un Libro Tante Scuole), now in its fourth edition, is set to engage students across Italy in the timeless work of Emily Brontë. This year's chosen masterpiece is "Wuthering Heights," a classic of English literature from the 19th century.

The initiative, a joint effort by the Salone Internazionale del Libro of Turin and the Ministry of Education and Merit, aims to provide 6,000 free copies of Emily Brontë's "Wuthering Heights" to students in the final three years of secondary education. 

The special edition of "Wuthering Heights" distributed to students has an introduction from Liliana Rampello and a foreword from the editorial director of the Salone, Annalena Benini.

The project, apart from distributing the book, offers additional resources to enrich students' reading experience. Students will have access to podcasts and video lessons featuring contemporary authors. An online platform will enable students to share their reflections and reviews.

Support for this edition of the project comes from Intesa Sanpaolo, a long-standing partner of the Salone del Libro for sixteen years, as well as the Consulta delle Fondazioni and Mondadori.

The National Student Reading Project's selection of "Wuthering Heights" not only immerses students in the world created by Emily Brontë but also encourages discussions about self-discovery and the enduring relevance of classic literature. The project is part of the Salone Internazionale del Libro, an event to be celebrated in Turin in May 2024.
