Next April and May, Jane Eyre. The musical will be performed by the Big Noise Theatre Company at the Prairie Lakes Theater in Des Plaines, Illinois. We will talk about the performances in its due time, but now we are pleased to announce that starting today, the auditions for the roles begin:

ADULTS - Ages 16 and above
Sunday, February 12, 2006 1 - 3:30 pm at Sheil Park (Chicago)
Monday, February 13, 2006 7 pm at Prairie Lakes (Des Plaines)
Seeking approximately 9 men and 12 women who sing and act. All actors play multiple characters, except Jane and Rochester.
Prepare 32 bars of a song in the style of the show. Bring sheet music. Accompanist will be provided. Prepare one monologue, not to exceed 2 minutes.


GIRLS - Ages 8 - 15
Wednesday, February 15, 2006 7 pm
Seeking 12 girls, ages 8-15 who sing and act for the roles of Young Jane, Helen, Adèle and the students of Lowood.
Prepare 32 bars of a song that best shows off your voice. Bring sheet music. Accompanist will be provided. No monologue required.


There's no pay, of course. But who wants to be payed if you can play and sing Jane or Mr. Rochester? ;)
