It seems ...I would think it is the same production. It seems as if the other productions mentioned in the articles are BBC productions. Costume dramas are expensive to produce (or so they keep telling us) so money from the U.S. TV networks to show them is welcome. I'm kind of surprised that they didn't sell North and South to PBS, or reserve Jane Eyre and S&S for BBC America, where they did broadcast N&S. But since I don't have cable I'm glad they will be on PBS!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
